I sat next to Larry Station's parents at the Peach Bowl while wearing my Larry Station jersey so I gotta agree with this 100%.First Hawk jersey I ever had was Larry Station, so gotta include him, but my all-timer was probably Timmy Dwight. Fast and tougher than Wang leather. Timmy D.!

Great list but he had 3 against OSU and two against WisconsinSince we’re going most liked:
Hayden Fry (met several times..class individual and had amazing memory). Haden knew one of my teammates from Niacc very well..Vernon Little was on “85” Rose bowl team..had a little too much fun on Ped Mall which landed him at Niacc. The “Iowa” way has been continued with Kirk Ferentz (pure class..humble, molding young guys to successful men in life).
OP great topic but not easy lol..too many choices.
QB - Chuck Long, Drew Tate, CJ Bethard, Nate Stanley.
RB - Tavian Banks, Shonn Greene, A Wadley (arguably most exciting back in terms of vision & juke Iowa’s had..not sure Iowa beats Mich without him).
RB/FB - David Hudson (Waxachie TX..”bull”). Brady Ross (not many better).
TE - Dallas Clark, Sam La Porta.
WR - Tim Dawight, Danan Hughes, Ed Hinkle, Clinton Solomon (got things started LSU), Demo Odems, Imir Smith Marsette, Tyrone Tracy.
OT - Marshall Yanda, Robert Gallery, Bryan Bulaga, Tristan Wirfs.
OG - Eric Steinbach, Brandon Scherrf.
C - Jay Hillgenburg, Bruce Nelson, James Daniels (got out on LB’s like no other).
DE - Andre Tippett, Aron Kampman, Adrian Clayborn, Matt Roth, Howard Hodges, Leroy Smith, AJ Epenesa.
DT - Pat Dean, George Little, Dave Haight, Colin Cole (good to see he was an honorary captain speaking with team a few yrs ago), Mike Daniels, Bab’s # 45, Jaleel Johnson.
LB - Larry Station, Chad Greenway, Abdul Hodge, Vernon Rollins (star in the making..injury), Jeff Tarpinian (met down here in Tempe before Mizzu game..great dude), Anthony Hitchens, Josey Jewell, Christian Kirksey.
DB - Bob Stoops, Tracy Crocker, Eddie Polly, Devon Mitchell, Bob Sanders, Tom Knight, Merton Hanks, Damien Robinson (boy could lay the wood), Dwight Sistrunk, Keaton Smiley, Sean Considine, Mycah Hyde, Desmond King, Josh Jackson (3 picks vs Wis), Amani Hooker, Michael “OJ” (great under the radar story..hope much success with Broncos).
P - Reggie Roby and it’s not even close!
K - Rob Houghtlin, Miguel Recinos
PR - Timmy Dwight
KR - Ronnie Harmon (I know i know but fun to watch).
Your right..I had to double check lol..thanks!Great list but he had 3 against OSU and two against Wisconsin

Matt Stockdale should get an honorable mention. Not the most talented but he was part of the 2001 resurgence. After injuring his sternum against Nebraska in 2000, Stockdale told Ferentz he wanted to play in 2001 against medical advice, going as far as to sign a liability waiver. Played well in 2001 but ended up missing some time with a broken ankle. Even still had 12 PBUs. His dedication to Iowa football is admirable. Had he stayed injury free he might have had an outside shot at a few years in the NFL as a safety.
