I thought Indiana's coach made an error late in the game. They had a big pass play down to the 1 yard line with 59 seconds on the clock in a tie game. They should have run the clock down as close to 0 as possible (Southern Illinois had 2 timeouts left), and kicked the extra point field goal. Instead they scored a touchdown on the next play, leaving Southern Illinois, who had already scored 41 points on them, 58 seconds to try to tie or win.

SIU did score, and could easily have won the game on the 2 point conversion, but they failed to convert. Seems like kicking a field goal with ~ 10 seconds left would have been safer for Indiana.
