Again: if your logic was uniformly applied (as in February 2016), this wouldn’t be an issue.

The rules were specifically changed in 2016 and will now be changed again.

That is the essence of the debate.

This inconvenient fact will be missed by the dumb ones or purposely ignored by the smart ones.
 
If the GOP goes through with Mitch's suggestion on replacing RBG, and I'm sure they will, then when Biden and the Dems take over in January one of the first things they should do is set into motion the enlargement of the SCOTUS from 9 justices to 11, or even 13.
