All employees reinstated and prohibited from returning set money to federal reserve. This is likely the first of many of these rulings applied to the different federal departments.

It’s pretty cut and dry law. They have a funded mandate to do their work from Congress, they can’t just choose to shutdown (or be shutdown).

ultimately, setting aside whatever the merits may be, judge jackson's injunction basically is the way the whole doge-exercise should have been conducted in teh first instance, ie, ask questions first, shoot later, rather than the other way around.
That’s the thing. They could accomplish all they want to do… but it’s the job of Congress, not DOGE or the White House.

They could very well gut all of these things, but they’re not doing it via the correct/legal methods.

Exactly. We can all agree that there is government waste. And it's a good thing to reduce government waste.

I would start with auditors rather than hackers. But that's just me.

It's why folks explained it was illegal.

Had they "done it the correct way" and pushed recommendations/findings to Congress to eliminate the funding and/or staff, that would have been exactly how the process is intended to work. WITH oversight from the branch that holds that Constitutional function.

Which is exactly what was said Monday on MAGAs favorite TV show, “Morning Joe”…one of the panelists stated the primary mistake DOGE was making was their “Ready! Fire! AIM!” And sooner or later, that was gonna catch up to them… and the Courts were going to make them stop.
There is a right way to do things, a wrong way to do things and DOGE was neither.
