Winning the Big 10 west isn't much tougher than winning the MAC.Well........ They did win the big 10 west
12 games
But yeah you're right pathetic
This is more than just a lack of talent! You can't blame Kurt for our lack of talent....
Apparently it is much tougher than winning the pac 12 southWinning the Big 10 west isn't much tougher than winning the MAC.

He needs to retire...extending his contract is crazy! Time to retire, take your coordinators with you!
Of course, we can do much better with the next batch of coaches we assemble.![]()
Maybe you should learn how to spell FERENTZ before you bash him. If you think the Hawks didn't have a good year or don't win anything unless it's a national title, you need to find another team to root for.Your team didn't win anything this year. Pathetic effort
Ricky Bobby is in the house.Your team didn't win anything this year. Pathetic effort
I said in the other thread a 1 yr rolling extension for as long as he wants. Minimize the buyout, and you are good to go.
You don't extend the contract of a coach who just lost his fourth straight bowl game and a conference championship game. I don't care if he did win 12 games in a row against a soft schedule. I'm all for letting him finish out his contract.Un frickin believable. We win 12 games and you wine. 3 points from a national championship playoff game. FWIW, Stanford should have been there, they were that good late in the season. Talked to several PAC payers at the game, they were there just to watch McCaffrey. Nobody wanted to play Stanford once they got on a roll.
I knew it was over when they scored on the first play. Our kids didn't quit but we're over matched. I think if we played them in the midwest, would have been closer but Stanford clearly had more talent.
I'm not so sure about that; most recruits don't think that far ahead (even with someone whispering it in their ear) and more than a few others honestly feel they'll be off to the NFL after their junior year any way.Yes, you need 5 years on the books for recruiting purposes.
Many said just that much in the post-game interviews. This is a good experience for the guys coming back. It's not like the 09-10 team where they destroyed GA Tech. We'll have a lot of guys back next year hungry and something to prove. Feel bad for the seniors though
GO HAWKS
I think pathetic fans might be a better evaluation. I am guessing by the number of likes you have, that most of the fan faithful do not share your observation.Your team didn't win anything this year. Pathetic effort
Threads like these are good for one thing, to take out the trash. To the OP... You are reason #1 of why social media and smartphones are dooming our society. Iowa finished with 12 wins... The most in school history... And the OP basically says the season was a wash. Guessing the OP is a pretty negative and unhappy dude. Keep on typing!
Based loosely on the scenario above, how about this scenario...Agreed with no extension at this time...he's still got four years left on his contract any way. If he meets expectations for next year, which will be in the 10-11 win neighborhood, then sure. Potential loss's to either Iowa State or NDSU and another bowl blowout notwithstanding.
This. Iowa played this game because of their weak schedule. They are no better than the 5th best team in the big 10 +4.The big ten west will always be won by a team that has the lucky schedule and doesn't play anybody.
The top three teams are all in the east.
They need to realign.
Moronic post troll.Your team didn't win anything this year. Pathetic effort
We have a tremendous coach, who is perfect for Iowa. People talking about wanting a new coach are showing their stupidity.Of course, we can do much better with the next batch of coaches we assemble.![]()
You do realize Iowa was 30 seconds or one stop away from winning the championship? The big ten west will always be won by a team that has the lucky schedule and doesn't play anybody.
