sorry im that guy that asks this question to the board but i dont have a lot of friends that play fantasy fball. trade offer came in to give me aaron rodgers for odell beckham. roethlisburger was my starting qb and now cam newton, who statistically is a top 10 fantasy qb but who knows if he maintains. do i make this move or wait out the 4-6 weeks for ben to get back. after 2 weeks i was top scoring team in the league. last week not so much with ben getting hurt. antonio brown/moncrief from indy are other starting wr's. thanks

I probably do the deal but I immediately start looking to trade Cam for a WR to replace ODB. Maybe a Landry, Cooper, or Edelman depending on your scoring. With all the QBs going down the value has skyrocketed so why not try and take advantage.....it's what the guy selling you Rodgers is trying to do.

This makes sense. When Romo got hurt, I found a owner that had Cam on the bench who was desperate for running back help. But getting Rodgers for ODB and Ben is worth it imo. I guess it also depends on what the rest of your receivers look like

What do you have in the way of WR to replace Beckham?

It's helpful to know the scoring of your league too so you can determine the relative value of QB's.

But I'd strongly consider it and try and trade away Newton to the guy who had Romo.

No way.

Rodgers is good, but he's not a ton better than Cam Newton (currently about 3 points/week) fantasy-wise. I'd rather have OBJ an entire season and Newton for 4 weeks than Rodgers for an entire season.

Given his lack of WR talent I wouldn't put my odds on Cam keeping that pace up. Rodgers has produced with the guys around him before.

I wouldn't do it - even though Brown probably won't be as valuable while Ben is out, you effectively would be playing Moncrief over Beckham in the deal (assuming Rodgers/Healthy Ben is a wash).

Ride it out with Cam, as painful as that seems. You want your #1 scoring team back when Ben returns, and trading Odell loses that for you.

I wouldn't be surprised if Ben was back in 3 weeks. Apparently its the bone bruise and not his MCL that is the big problem. He's been known to play through pain.

And you can subtract 1 week from Rodgers since he has a bye in Week 7.

He doesn't need to put up huge yards, he just has to score touchdowns. His rushing helps a ton in fantasy.

Also, keep in mind that with Rodgers you're going to ride the home/away roller coaster to a certain degree.
