Common theme in this game is obviously that Both of these teams,
Virginia and Texas Tech are great defensive teams.

Hopefully, the Hawkeyes and their coaches are paying attention.

After having seen some of TTs games....their defense is a step above any that I have seen in a long time...so, I will stay with Texas Tech to win it all. (which means Virginia is a sure thing-bet ya house)....not

I think I'll root for TT. It'll make MSU and by extension, the Big Ten look better. There's no shame in getting beaten by the national champion.

I want Virginia, for no other reason than the town/university is just a really cool place. I was just there about a month ago and I guess there's just something cool about them showing the celebrations/rioting and being like "Hey, I know where that is!"

Texas Tech winning would kind of suck because Big 12, however, there's a good chance we play them on Thanksgiving weekend and it would be cool go up against the defending national champions...even though they look set to lose about 75% of their production.

Texas Tech is playing unreal defense, especially denying anything inside. I think Virginia has more options to hit the outside shot than MSU did. But it seems like Virginia lucked their way in, given the last minutes of their last 2 games. Texas Tech 57 Virginia 52.

This will go against historical metrics. Unless your name was UCONN every champion for the last 10 years has been ranked in the top 3 in BPI going into the tournament. This year it was Duke, Gonzaga and Virginia. Also excluding UCONN for the last 15 years every champion also ranked top 10 in Ken Pom Off Eff. And top 20 Def eff going into toruney. Virginia qualifies but Tech misses out on a top 10 off eff.

I think Virginia can make TT pay for that packed in pack line defense they play. No one has shot well against TT and I believe that ends tonight. I have been 100% wrong so far as I had TT losing their first game.

Cheering for TT just because the ACC was so overhyped coming into the tournament. On a side note it would be sort of a kick to the nads for Muriel Shayok to watch his old teammates win a natty while Transfer U got sent packing.

TT. And ..not that. But, you can absolutely bank on any number of DSM sports radio shows casually bringing up that the Clowns won @TT. And, then parlay that into some kind of nonsensical logic.
