First Coaches' Ranking - 1/22/2024

The rankings are about as worthless as teats on a boar. Too many big boys not ranked.
They don't have anyone at Penn state above 165 lol pretty big omissions at 174 184 197 and 285 with 3 number ones missing.
It won't look anything like this in a month. So many guys without enough matches. Also looks like this was done before the weekend. Results from the past week should have changed a bunch of these. About as far off-base as the algorithm.
I love the yearly freak out over the first coaches rankings. They always suck. Tons of guys literally aren't allowed to be ranked because they don't have enough matches and the coaches don't start taking them seriously until they actually matter so they make a ton of mental errors that throw off the whole thing.
These don't matter and will get fixed by the time they do. Better solution would be to use some sort of averaged media ranking. the flo and intermat guys are way more qualified to be doing this than the coaches.
