Reminder, wrestler has to have at least 8 Div 1 matches to be eligible for rankings.

125 Lee NR (I’m guessing the match against Ayala doesn’t count, so Spencer only has 7 eligible matches)
133 Schriever 24
141 Woods NR
149 Murin 8
157 Siebrecht NR (not sure why he isn’t ranked, has 8 matches against D1)
165 Kennedy T8
174 Brands NR
184 Assad 6
197 Warner T8
285 Cassioppi 2

I know these serve a purpose but I just don’t know what it is. I guess it tells us all who has NOT had 8 matches against D1 competition. But aside from that pretty useless from my foxhole. Maybe a bit more important the closer we get to NCAAs…
The coaches’ ranking is one of several criteria that will be evaluated by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee during the at-large selection and seeding process along with head-to-head competition, quality wins, Ratings Percentage Index (RPI), conference tournament placement, results versus common opponents and win percentage.

Cobe is 7-1 but 1 win is at 165 so he only has 7 matches against D1 at 157.

And the NCAA made matches against teammates not count for RPI or rankings after the Dresser debacle

Good to see Assad getting some respect. He is wrestling better this year. Needs to start taking down some of those top 5.

Wow, the NCAA did something right! Drake's mom put up more of a fight on bookface than those isu wrestlers did in their fake tournament.

Matches against teammates technically don't exist, to the point they aren't even supposed to appear on the In-Season Record Form. Rulebook Rule 9, Section 6, Article 4:

"Art. 4. Non-Allowable ISRF Matches. Matches between teammates, against opponents who are not listed on an institutional roster, a club-level wrestler, a prospective student-athlete or an armed services student-athlete shall not be counted."

I used Wrestlestat and didn’t dig deeper. Thanks for the clarification!
