Wow... is Iowa in the NIL game for real now?? That doesn't just happen because he likes Iowa right?

I'd bet a good deal of money NIL had nothing to do with this.

He's liked us well before NIL.

He's from Iowa.
Iowa puts lineman in the NFL.
Wirfs is his idle.
let's all hope that proctor intends to make wirfs look like a lazy bum :)

Does anyone think that he does not start game 1 of his Iowa career?

Has Kirk ever started a freshman game 1 at any position, much less the OL?
Who was the guy from the Burbs? Mike Jones? Didn't he start as a true freshman?
I cannot see anyone on this year's offensive line being better than Proctor.

Not sure about game 1 but Wirfs became a starter as a freshman midway through the year. Proctor is ahead of Wirfs physically at that point. Is Proctor planning to enroll in Jan or will he join the team next summer?

Never game 1 though. It would be a first if he starts game 1.

Bryan Bulaga came very close. In his true freshman season of 2007 he played but did not start in the opening game against Northern Illinois. In that game he suffered a shoulder injury that forced him to miss the next 5 games.

He returned from injury against Illinois and then started the following week against Purdue in his third game. By the following week he was playing every offensive down.
