Good news for any Iowa fans who have missed seeing Spencer Lee in action: Lee will be back in action in Coralville at the Xtream Arena on February 26.

He's set to take on World champion Masanosuke Ono in the main event.

While Ono is a Japanese star, he's not the same Japanese champion that Lee faced at the Olympics last summer -- that was Rei Higuchi, who beat Lee in the gold medal match in Paris.

Ono competed at the 2024 Wrestling World Championships last fall (which featured all the wrestling weights that aren't contested at the Olympics, like 61 kg, 70 kg, 79 kg, and 92 kg for men's freestyle) and won gold at 61 kg and did so in dominant fashion (12-0 win over world champion Vito Arujau, 10-2 win over former Olympic champion Zaur Uguev). Ono also won the U20 world championships last year so he's a bit of a phenom. He should be one hell of a challenge for Lee.

The full match card for the event has also been released and it involves several other wrestlers with Iowa or Iowa State ties, including Marcus Coleman, Austin DeSanto, Seth Gross, Austin Gomez, and David Carr.
