Performance of the week

Wide receiver Beau Corrales put up big numbers again this week as the Texas native hauled in 10 catches for 179 yards and 3 touchdowns in Georgetown's 56-29 win over East View. Through 6 games, Corrales has 58 catches for 780 yards and 10 touchdowns for Georgetown (6-0) this season.

Other notable performances

Running back Ivory Kelly-Martin had 23 carries for 102 yards, but saw his Oswego East team lose to Oswego 21-3 in a battle of undefeated teams on Friday. Through 6 games, Kelly-Martin has 103 carries for 783 yards and 14 touchdowns for Oswego East (5-1).

Tight end Jacob Coons had 4 catches for 87 yards and 2 touchdowns in Solon's 56-7 win over Fort Madison on Friday. Through 6 games, Coons now has 16 catches for 273 yards and 4 touchdowns for Solon (5-1) this year.

Camron Harrell finished with 12 carries for 80 yards on offense as Bradley-Bourbonnais beat Lincoln-Way Central by a score of 27-17 on Friday night. Bradley-Bourbonnais remains undefeated at 6-0 and travels to Urbana this Friday.

Wide receiver Gavin Holmes continued his impressive senior season with 9 catches for 185 yards and 1 touchdown in Justin Northwest's 51-34 win over Fort Worth Brewer on Friday. Through 5 games, Holmes now has 41 catches for 781 yards and 8 touchdowns, for Justin Northwestern (5-0) this year.

Cornerback Matt Hankins had 2 tackles and 4 pass breakups, but saw his Flower Mound Marcus team lose 41-14 to Lewisville on Friday. Through 5 games, Hankins has 15 tackles and 9 pass breakups for Marcus (3-2) this year.

Cornerback Josh Turner had 1 tackle and 2 pass breakups, but saw his American Heritage team lose to Oxbridge Academy 38-0 on Friday. Through 5 games, Turner has 19 tackles and 11 pass breakups for American Heritage (1-4).

Defensive end A.J. Epenesa had 5 tackles and 1 TFL, but saw his Edwardsville team lose their first game of the season in a 20-10 game against East St. Louis on Friday night. Through 6 games, Epenesa has 26 tackles, 8 TFL, and 2 sacks for Edwardsville (5-1).

Quarterback Peyton Mansell finished 16/23 passing for 148 yards and 1 touchdown in an easy 56-9 win for Belton over Killeen on Thursday. He also rushed for 59 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground. Through 6 games, Mansell has completed 103 of 146 pass attempts (70.5%) for 1,213 yards with 15 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. On the ground, he has 73 carries for 517 yards and 8 touchdowns for Belton (4-2) this season.

A foot injury forced Levi Duwa out of the game after just a couple series Friday night, so he could only watch as Mid-Prairie lost to Williamsburg 46-0. In 6 games, Duwa has 39 tackles, 10 TFL, and 3.5 sacks on defense and 13 catches for 128 yards and 2 touchdowns on offense for Mid-Prairie (2-4).

Tristan Wirfs helped Mount Vernon (4-2) pick up 537 yards of offense on their way to a 62-6 victory over Anamosa on Friday. Wirfs also scored a touchdown of his own on defense with a pick six in the game and finished with 4 tackles and 1 TFL.

Coy Kirkpatrick led the way as Madrid racked up a ridiculous 550 yards rushing in their 69-0 win over South Hamilton on Friday. On defense, Kirkpatrick finished with 6 tackles and 1 sack for Madrid (6-0).

Mark Kallenberger helped Bettendorf put up 490 yards on offense including 344 on the ground rushing in their 36-16 win over Clinton on Friday. Bettendorf is now 4-2 on the year and hosts Davenport North this week.

Brandon Smith had another good game with 7 catches for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns in Lake Cormorant's 55-6 win over Lewisburg on Friday. Through 7 games, Smith has 37 catches for 712 yards and 8 touchdowns for Lake Cormorant (4-3).

Cornerback Chevin Calloway had 2 tackles in Bishop Dunne's easy 41-2 win over Nolan Catholic on Friday. Through 5 games, Calloway has 24 tackles, 4 pass breakups, and 4 TFL for Bishop Dunne (4-1) this season.

Djimon Colbert helped Bishop Miege post a big 54-7 victory over Blue Valley West on Friday. Through 5 games, Colbert has 20 tackles, 8 pass breakups, and 1 interception for Bishop Miege (4-1).

Eno Benjamin's Wylie East team had a bye week. They return to action this Friday when they host Royse City. Through 5 games, Benjamin has 129 carries for 998 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns on the ground. He is also 22/48 passing for 357 yards and 5 touchdowns through the air for Wylie East (3-2) this season.
