It feels like McConnell was Democrats public enemy number one in the pre-Trump world and this type of news would be something to rejoice. However, post-Trump, McConnell actually seems like one of the sane ones who is relatively decent, they could end up selecting a wackjob.

If Feinstein has to go, then so does 89 year old Chuck Grassley.

My thought too. I mean any politician should be ineligible after age 75 but the rising R stars are mostly budding psychopaths.
 
Never forget that the GQP of Kentucky changed the laws to prevent their Dem governor from appointing a replacement just in case Mitch dies, or Rand Paul is murdered.

Whoever replaced him needs to bring an age limit up for a vote.
