All right - I'll agree with that.IMO "the mob" is when a group of people express their opinion loud enough that an employer, band, group, (insert whatever) feels the need to take action on it. Unless some sort of criminal or heinous act has occurred, why can't people just say [to themselves], "Well, I don't agree with that, so I'm done with [fill in the blank]"? Not sure why the need to end someone's career over a different opinion.
At least this place pretty much operates as intended; a place where people can discuss topics anonymously. I've never considered HROT/HORT social media.
I do think that this place isn't representative of the rest of the country. I think that if there were an honest demographic/informational survey done, we'd find that, on average, there's a lot higher level of education, higher income, and just - in general - more things for us to be happy about in our lives, so that we didn't have to spend our time trying to bring others down and make them miserable.
