Former QB Tom Poholsky Passes Away

Wow. Sad.

I remember the first game he played. We made it to East Lansing once as students. It was widely thought uber talented Dan McGwire would start in the absence of the regular Chuck Hartlieb.

Out comes TP. He did well! I remember a long pass he threw so well Jim Morrow, I think, said he could have caught it with his teeth, lol.

Too young. RIP Hawkeye Warrior.
 
Didn't he start a game where we shut out Wisconsin somewhere in the '87 time frame? Or maybe in the second half of one? I remember we were working up firewood and I was listening to Ron Gondor on WMT for it iirc.

Yes rest in peace dear Hawkeye friend. Achieving the label of starting quarterback for the Iowa Hawkeyes is a great achievement and something that only a handful of guys relatively have gotten to experience.

As I remember it he was a surprise starter and we beat MSU.
