Foster official visits

However, sometimes they commit and never make their last visit.

Perfect situation for him to commit to us on his Iowa visit, if he so chooses. I like it.
His aunt is married to AJ Blazek and his grandfather is Mark Vetter. If Iowa doesn’t get him it will because FM is a screw up.

No, not at all. And you saying it does not make it true. I think Foster will take his visits and then choose where he feels most comfortable. Fran can put on a great show and sell him on all great things Hawkeye, but in the end, the kid will go where he feels the most comfortable. Maybe that is Iowa and maybe it is somewhere else. If he does choose Iowa then I doubt you or others will give Fran any credit for it.

Without strong family connections, the chances that Foster would choose the hawks would be extremely low.

If he is making his college decision on who his relatives are or where his girlfriend is at, then he's an idiot.

Needs to make his decision on where he feels the most comfortable of the coaching staff, future teammates and also the school.

Looks like Foster has his OVs set and I like that he is visiting Iowa last (especially because it’s during the Penn St game). Baylor is getting an in home visit as well.

I didn't read the whole thread so I don't know if this was mentioned but I don't think all of those will be official visits. Mainly because he can't visit the same school for an official until it has been an entire calendar year from the official he took his Jr year and he Visited Iowa State October 13th last year.

I have to say that the I think the way Foster has structured his visits suggests, at least to me, that IA is very well positioned with Foster.

I take it as a sign that he is giving the Hawks priority as the final visit during a marquee football weekend at the expense of a non-official visit and a less than impressive football weekend in the case of ISU.

I know alternative cases could be made but I’m feeling it!

Yes, if he is a football fan that will be a good weekend to visit Iowa. The others, football doesn't exist.

You don’t want him to do that because the first school crossed off would be Iowa. FM’s asst that spearheads XF’s recruitment mentions those family connections every time he speaks to the young man. Making the kid feel guilty if he let down his family and hawk fans, is the only chip FM can play. There certainly isn’t anything else compelling.

Better than "Hey, we have great water!"

And what is Baylor's selling point? "Hey kid you can do anything you want here without getting in any trouble with the law"?

Baylor has its negatives for sure, but their MBB program under Drew has had a ton of success. Iowa cant compete with their record over the past 15 years.

What do you think is going to happen when his gf dumps him or vice versa? He’s going to cut ISU so fast.

He better be with all the family and coaching pressure. If not, it is a major fail by FM. Better keep guilting the kid because there really isn’t any other draw.

Not sure why keep calling it a major fail for FM if he doesn't go to iowa. It's not like Fran can force him to come to iowa. It's the kids decision, FM I'm sure has done all he can do to get foster to commit. So get over it, if foster comes, great, if not, life will go on.
