Fran just on ESPN

Talked about what they went through, his thoughts and concerns. Really a solid interview on Fran's part, speaking on wanting to be educated and wanting his players to be educated as to what's going on, not just in the U.S. but around the world.

Also, one of the first interviews that I've heard from a public figure/coach to speak on what this means for the seniors and teams that would be getting a rare chance to make the NCAA tournament.

Said that he is hopeful that the NCAA will consider postponing the tournament, but understands the gravity of the situation and would support a decision to cancel the tournament, if the NCAA went that route instead.

This really sucks as he said for Seniors or kids that may only get this one chance to play in the NCAA tournament. They work their ass off the whole year for this.

Great interview by Fran, and he represented Hawkeye nation well. You do have to wonder how they ended up interviewing him and say not coach K or slimeball Self, given Espn's total lack of acknowledgement of the BIG most of the season, or our player of the year candidate, who most of their folks didn't even have as a candidate until recently. Maybe a blessing in disguise for the NCAA , with no tournament for KU to win, if they had to pry it from their hands, shortly thereafter.......

Mark Few was on when the news broke about the tournament being cancelled. He sounded less than thrilled (obviously), but hopes for a postponement first.

You can’t practice for Garza on 3 days notice. And you definitely can’t replicate him in practice in 3 days leading up to the game.
