Heller really has done an amazing job. Before he came, nobody was talking "Iowa baseball."

Jack Dahm a nice job during a few seasons. Iowa was god awful in the few years prior to him. Dahm's problem was for every step forward there were two or three back. He plateaued and could never get over that hump. You can't go finish 4th in the B1G, go 31-22 or w/e then follow that up going like 3-21 in conference play the next year.

Cpl guys watch to many good pitches go by.
I know Jenkins is a student/athlete and I have seen some spark from him a cpl times but he has puzzled me lately.....

Sorry wrong thread.

Jack and his staff were above average recruiters. Their guys often plateaued as freshman or sophomores because they had to play early.

My buddy and I unanimously agreed last weekend: Iowa is lucky to have Heller with the seismic change in B1G baseball than Dahm. Imagine hiring a coach now...no chance we'd land Heller in the current environment.

I think it helps tremendously that Iowa State and Wisconsin do not have baseball programs; it is much easier to recruit the states of Iowa and Wisconsin as a result

It is still weird to me that Wisconsin is the only B1G institution without baseball; makes me wonder if they will ever try to bring it back; they can't be hurting for money when you think about the revenues they get from football, basketball and hockey
