These 158 have been outed as the women haters they are. Can you image having to explain to a young girl and her family that the illegal monster that brutally raped her will not be deported and banned from ever reentering the U.S. again.

More than 150 Democrats voted against Republican Representative Nancy Mace's bill that would ensure undocumented immigrants convicted of sex offenses are deported or deemed inadmissible to the country.

The Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act passed in a 266-158 vote on Wednesday. Every Republican present voted for the bill, as did 51 Democrats, while 158 Democrats voted against it.

The bill would also deport or deem inadmissible to the country undocumented immigrants who have been convicted of, or admit to having committed, sex offenses, domestic violence, stalking, child abuse or violating a protection order.

It comes as immigration is among the most important issues on the minds of voters ahead of November's election, with former President Donald Trump and Republicans repeatedly claiming that President Joe Biden's immigration policies have led to a spike in violent crime by people who are in the country illegally. Studies have generally found no link between immigration and violent crime.

In a statement provided to Newsweek, Mace said: "158 Left-wing members of Congress just voted against deporting rapists, pedophiles and murderers of women and kids."

Opponents of the bill said it was demonizing immigrants.

My assumption is there was something in the bill they couldn't possibly support and Rs sent the bill for vote anyway just to get this headline.

Works every time for the crowd that wants to propagate BS rather than call it out.

Remember last week's headline about Rs against IVF? Among numerous examples of this.

These people are wasting our time and money, and somehow they manage to get us to fight with each other instead of of calling them out for misusing our time and money.

Your assumption as usual is just full of shit, Democrats love them some illegals and will protect them no matter what.

Had a husband of a coworker commit a crime against a family member based on info he was getting at the office by going through the office asst's desk. While awaiting trial (was convicted and incarcerated), I went to the boss for a restraining order to keep him out of the office. The boss said that would violate his rights (he had been on the offenders list). I went to the boss of the boss who also refused. I went to the top of a 45k employee organization and had the order within hours.

The boss causing the problem... was a liberal dem.

Can't make this stuff up. Violating his rights when he was stealing info from a location he should have never been in. And our boss promoted the wife.

This is why there needs to be a one issue bill!

It’s wildly ambiguous. It covers not only convicted sex offenders but also “admitted” sex offenders. What does that mean and what are the due process requirements for determine an admission? Who knows.

Dems and Pubs both love to point out a failure on the other side to support a bill that seems like a no-brainer. While failing to mention all of the details involved. Same old stupid politics.
Just another example where Government fails to enact common sense.

51 Democrats voted for the bill. That's a significant amount of support from across the aisle.

Makes you wonder why 158 didn't support the bill.
