Seen a good interview on Flo. I don't know how to post it on here or even if Flo allows that, maybe someone smarter can do that. Anyway, he spoke of the logjam and competition as an issue but a good thing for elite competitive wrestlers, said they are all 100% behind whoever gets the nod. Also spoke of some mental health stuff he has worked through with help at Iowa and the great support he has with his dad and family. Said the Brands were out of town and called him to do a showing of the new wrestling room on short notice for Hawkeye donors (not wrestling specific) and he followed through. Great young man and so happy he is a Hawk and represents Iowa wrestling.

As a sport, so many wrestlers consistently exemplify great character. I think the nature of the sport is a big part of that. You don't go into wrestling if you are self-absorbed or looking for the limelight. Wrestling seems to bring out the best in the young men and women who choose it. I especially respect those wrestlers who never see the success or exposure of D1 starters, especially at major programs. If you are a "room guy" or toiling away at a small program with little institutional or spectator support that is even more commendable. Here is to all the wrestlers out there. May you be successful wherever life takes you.
