Fantastic Coach! There isn’t a place in the world that loves and supports wrestling like Iowa City. Hawkeye fans are the most enthusiastic in the land. Our expectations are always to be #1 on and off the mat. Gabe is going to fit right in and will realize the support he was promised. Gabe will definitely be pushed to succeed.
Are there any specifics you are wanting or needing to know about City High, High School?

He would love wrestling for ex Hawkeye Brad Smith at Lisbon .
I'm sure Iowa City high has great coaches also but don't have personal experience.

Both my sons graduated from there. Great school as are all the Iowa City schools!

Three high schools in IC district. Liberty which is only a few years old. They have Iowa great Joe Williams as a Co Head Coach. Iowa City West also has a former Hawkeye in Nate Moore as Coach and has been the traditional power in the area which happened when Reiland was there. Still, they have put out guys like Nelson and Garvin more recently. City High is on the comeup with their brand new room (looks sweet from the pictures). If you like smaller towns, Lisbon is about 20 miles north of IC and has an excellent tradition. For public schools, IC district is top notch from what I hear. As a transplant from Arizona, I really enjoy living here. Big enough to have every thing you need but small enough that it doesn't take you 45 mins to get across town. If I had to compare it some place in Missouri, it would probably be Blue Springs. Academic and athletic excellence in a middle to upper class area.
