Cass, if you wrestle the open - just charge at him with a straight arm clothesline and hopefully he is momentarily confused and WWE Muscle memory takes over for a second and he takes a bump right to his back for a FS touch fall.
I'm excited, once in a generation heavyweight for Team USA.

Agreed. I'm not a big fan of the shoes on the mat drama, but having Gable active in highest levels of the sport is an absolute positive imo. Would love to see another Olympic run from him.
I have absolutely no problem with him wrestling but this statement is 100% false. He wasn’t a kid when he did this and he isn’t a kid now.
Anyone who ditches fake wrestling to return to real wrestling gets a pass for placing his shoes on a mat.

Gable had already signed NIL deals and received 250K for winning a Gold Medal.
Someone has probably done it before. I am just not aware of anybody walking it back. Money is probably playing a part in this.
If a wrestler has any doubts about coming back, don’t leave your shoes in the middle of the mat.

Part money grab as his wwe career hasn’t exploded yet and I’m sure partly missing the real deal competition. Didn’t like gopher steveson but usa steveson I’ll root for all day long.
I don't mind him not staying retired...I don't really want to see him wrestle for Minnesota again but wrestling for the USA Olympic Team is okay. Unretiring isn't that bad..., I think even 16 time World champion Rick "the Nature Boy" Flair has unretired a few times and you all didn't mind that !!
I find the whole ritual silly and self-absorbed, especially for the 99.9% of us whom no one knew or cared when we retired. "Dude, there's another match starting, can you please move your shoes?"
Maybe Gable will institute a new ritual where someone places his old shoes in the middle of the mat, and he will walk out and put them back on in front of the crowd. "Look! Look! He's putting his old shoes back on!"
