Gable Steveson

NIL and transfer rules opened up right around when Gable was exiting wrestling, no one was talking 1/4 million dollar amounts or more. Had he left for WWE 10 years ago I think those shoes are still sitting there.

Gable had already signed NIL deals and received 250K for winning a Gold Medal.

Someone has probably done it before. I am just not aware of anybody walking it back. Money is probably playing a part in this.

If a wrestler has any doubts about coming back, don’t leave your shoes in the middle of the mat.

Is it really that big of a deal? I don’t think so. People change their minds every day. B.F.D.

People unretire all the time. See Henry Cejudo. He's fighting again soon.

Part money grab as his wwe career hasn’t exploded yet and I’m sure partly missing the real deal competition. Didn’t like gopher steveson but usa steveson I’ll root for all day long.

I have absolutely no problem with him wrestling but this statement is 100% false. He wasn’t a kid when he did this and he isn’t a kid now.
He is too me. 🤣 He's only 22 now.

I don't mind him not staying retired...I don't really want to see him wrestle for Minnesota again but wrestling for the USA Olympic Team is okay. Unretiring isn't that bad..., I think even 16 time World champion Rick "the Nature Boy" Flair has unretired a few times and you all didn't mind that !!

I find the whole ritual silly and self-absorbed, especially for the 99.9% of us whom no one knew or cared when we retired. "Dude, there's another match starting, can you please move your shoes?"

Maybe Gable will institute a new ritual where someone places his old shoes in the middle of the mat, and he will walk out and put them back on in front of the crowd. "Look! Look! He's putting his old shoes back on!"

I don’t have an issue with your opinion. I am a bit taken back by the sarcasm as I rarely see this side of you. I’ve read your story and have a tremendous amount of respect for your dedication to the sport of wrestling.
I have my back boy pants on and figured the majority wouldn’t agree with my opinion. That’s cool

No issue with your opinion either. My sarcasm was directed at the ritual, not at you, apologies.

Reno Hightower did it.

Still can't believe that sumbitch threw 7 TD passes against Porterville
