I predict we see another gadget play on Saturday, probably not another fake field goal, because Pitt will be ready for it. Maybe a WR pass to Beathard, or something we haven't seen before under Ferentz like a statue of liberty. We're 0-2 on fake field goals, but they were both close and I think Ferentz appreciates how the fans and the team fed off of those two plays. I think the staff is going to throw the players and the fans, who should bring an amazing atmosphere this Saturday, another bone.
Obviously the most important thing is winning, and if we're 0-2 or 1-1, those two plays mean very little, but I get the sense that Ferentz is loosening up and really making an effort to bring some excitement to a fan base that was on the verge of indifference coming into the season.
