Remarkable how consistent polling has been over time.

Also: the numbers below seem pretty telling (surprising level of consensus emerges)
Thinking more generally, do you think abortion should generally be legal or generally illegal during each of the following stages of pregnancy. How about -- [RANDOM ORDER]?

GOP is going down

Call me in November when gas is $10 a gallon
It's disturbing how you cons are actually rooting for greedy oil execs to bend you over at the pump like everyone else and are totally unwilling to hold them accountable as they reap in their record profits. All so you can blame Biden and score some political points with people who don't know any better. A despicable bunch you are

The strategy of “are you better off now than you were” isn’t unique to the cons.

the challengers always say they can do better. The incumbents have to campaign on what actually happened.

You just proved a huge point for conservatives... Learn to read your data, not many states will ban abortion before 12 weeks (3 months) but the overwhelming majority think it's sick as f*** to kill a baby in the second term and most think that in the third term according to the data you posted. Before this soft everything is ok movement in the last couple of years, abortion was viewed even much worse.

To me, it sounds like giving the states the right to implement laws that reflect their moral compass makes sense to me.

In a lesser note, kindly move to California so your kids can grow up gender neutral and your boys can have babies. Go look at the data for how many more freaks are out there... Scary stuff, it's not genetics people, it's culture and weirdo pervert parents.

This one seems triggered. Almost snowflake like. Please don't melt.

GOP is going down
Sadly, “the GOP” isn’t going down on this one....not for many years. It will take many decDes of organizing and HARD work by “pro-choice” folks to reverse the damage done by this Court. Americans simply do not have the patience to organize and fight the long fight.
I watch television and whT I observe “pro-choice” folks acting almost as stupid and ignorant the pro-lifers demonstrators of the past. This is a legislative matter to be determined by the individual states. While I disagree with this, it makes no difference as to what is coming down the line. I can’t think of another issue where 25% of the population has grabbed such a stranglehold on the American people, well not since the days of civil rights and Jim Crowe.

The second 3 months polling complicates the issue...

Mississippi's law fell into that category...

I've held the 20-22 weeks timeframe for a long time. Before that timeframe the fetus can't live on its own without the host or technology. Also by that time, you can make an informed decision on if you truly want an abortion.

The fringe, like most talks, don't belong in the conversation

The optics of the abortion protests are a win for Republicans. Angry, unattracive, overweight people with colored hair and tattoos. Normal people don't want to be associated with that.

You’ve been groomed poorly.

99% of my GOP friends and family think abortion should be legal, however, it's not an issue that moves the needle at all for any of them. The Roe ruling does nothing for them.
Tell them about SSI, Medicare, voting/LGBTQ and gay marriage rights all on the line then because they are. Maybe that'll move a needle.

Well if abortion is really as popular as the left seems to think it is. This is their opportunity to put it on the ballot everywhere and see if they can't snatch victory from the jaws of defeat .

If they still lose then you can't say that people didn't know what they were voting for.

I honestly don’t know many of my friends or family who are for or against abortion because it’s a non-issue. Way too much news and publicity is being given to this when there are far more critical issues at hand (economy, education, national parks, transportation, Iowa Football….)

Is this poll broken down by state anywhere? I would be curious what the constituents of each state believe or if the data is being skewed from an over representation of some. If one looked at Wyoming and only 20% there was in favor of abortion, should we care if the state wanted to ban abortions? Now let’s say 80% want it and it’s still banned. It’s their call. If the people there don’t like it they can vote in new representation or move. Same with every state.

That would be great if I lived in a state where you can actually do that.

Unless you’re in one of the unfortunate 24 states that don’t allow for ballot initiatives /referendum. Then you have to depend on your gerrymandered “representatives.”

Roe isn’t an elixir to extreme mental deficiency…so the number is likely zero.

In that case you would think that the calculus didn’t change at least on one side. So next you have to wonder if everything that has happened within the past 18 months have turned some Biden voters sour. I would suggest his polling numbers signal that there are some unhappy campers.
