Garza and Ryan Krieners dads were at Riverside Casino Friday night after the big win over Michigan. Garza’s dad was telling anyone who would listen that Luka would be back next year, and that Iowa was going to win a national championship.

Let’s hope he’s right about both! Go Hawks!

He’s going to wrestle now?

Will Luka go pro if Iowa wins the national championship this year? Go back to the casino and find out. Or grab a magic 8 ball

Great news that I’m inclined to believe.

The Quad City Times had a great page and a half article on Luka and basically Frank said he doubts Luka would even go through an NBA draft evaluation process and liked what Frank Kaminsky did at Wisconsin. Said we don't need to go measure how slow we are, we already know we're slow and can't jump. Didn't see the need to go to a camp and prove it. Don't need to confirm what we already know.
Said they are old school and believe in going four years. Stopped short of guaranteeing that Luka will return to Iowa for his senior season but said they want to win a national championship, that's why we came here...said that's important to them.
Said Luka still has plenty of things to work on before he dives into the pro ranks.
Sounds pretty encouraging but in today's environment one never knows.....after all we are Iowa.

There is no question about it, Luka Garza is
contention for All-American First Team this
season. He will make it if he avoids injury
for the remainder of this season. He leads
the Big Ten Conference in scoring and
averages 10 rebounds per game.

With Bohannon back (probably the clutchest player in Iowa history) I could see them making a run. The ceiling of the basketball program is at its pinnacle. They’re playing near perfect offense, and you have enough guards to really defend

Daniel Oturu picked the worst year to have a banner year in the BT....

3 elite 3pt shooters + elite A/T guy surrounding Garza will have to be the #1 offence in college basketball. Need a frosh guard to give some defensive minutes with JoeT and Patrick to come back healthy. Then bring’em on.
