He was great on the glass and stayed fearless, played good defense too. Between his improvement on D, Frederick and Toussaint, this could be a substantially improved defense collectively.

How do you not love Garza? He (normally) hits free throws, can shoot from midrange and 3, does all the dirty work and constantly banging with the bigs. The guy is a great Hawk!
Garza is going to be a guy next year that every other Big Ten school is going to say how long has that guy been there. He’s been a big part of our team since he stepped on the court as a freshman. He’s going to likely finish as the best or second best center we’ve had in the last 30 years. What more can you ask for from a kid that committed from half a continent away?

The guy was going up for a layup and Garza came over getting in his space. I thought it was unintentional after I saw the replay but definite toughness by Luka.

Garza came out of that game looking worse than most football players ever do. It's true he doesn't wear pads or a helmet though....

His block rate is drastically higher this year and it's particularly stood out the last two games.
