Garza - One and done ????

It certainly is not likely, but if he puts up 18 and 14, stranger things have happened. Luka is going to be a great one for us, but he will be here for at least 3 years.
(I hope!)

The Mocker 1793

Garza and Cook will both go, and our scholarship situation will magically be figured out. FRAN'S GOT A PLAN, MAN.

But seriously, one and done's won't happen here. If they do, we've REALLY come a long way.

How about we wait to see how he plays during the Big Ten
Agree with 91, I think any team in the BIG TEN could have won those four games. So I think I will wait and see how things work before I get to excited. But yes they are going to be fun to watch awfull young..No to one and done.. Thanks...

It is definitely premature to call Garza a one and done.
The rigors of Big Ten Conference games can be a
humbling experience for any college freshman. To
have the physical stamina to play the full season with
over 30 games is still to be determined. Hopefully,
he can also avoid injury. Hope he is a Hawk for 4 yrs.

Do you realize how crazy good you have to be to even make an NBA team????? Cook will never get there either.

Garza has a great motor but will struggle when he gets to real college ball for a while. He isnt overly athletic but has a great feel for the game and doesn't get out-worked. He will be Iowa fan whipping boy for a while but has a very good offensive game for his size so far.

Nope! Not even close.

He will be a 4 and done. He's a good player, but has not faced decent competition yet.

Garza has a lot of positives. He plays hard and has great footwork. What I like about him the most is he makes the baskets he should. Has a great touch around the rim.

Not much.

Plenty, if his 3pt shooting carries over from the summer thats a game changer. He and JBO have developed a good chemistry in the pick and roll game and a big guy that can pick and pop is a raerity in college.

I actually think you could see Luka and RK in the lineup together.

Pemsl may be the 4th man in the bigs rotation.

Garza ?:

Played high school aged opponents: Check
Played YMCA ball in Prime Time League: Check
Played European all stars sprinkled with several old guys: Check
Played in Big Ten Conference: Coming in 2018.

Let's hold off on the "one and done" talk for the time being!

Luka's definitely a 'one and return 3X' kind of guy. I'm thinking I'll like each return better than the one before. But the first impressions have been impressive.

Pemsl wasn't a high flyer last year, but he didn't become a whipping boy either. The key is living up to expectations. If Garza shows he's an above average freshman scorer he''l be fine. Traditionally it's rare for an Iowa freshman to average what Cook and Bohannon did, or even Pemsl. If fans aren't expecting unrealistic numbers from Garza, his hustle alone should make him a fan favorite.
