Gavitt Games

We all hate them, but most Wisconsin teams win that game. Providence didn't play that well and completely ignored their best player in the 2nd half. That Wisconsin team didn't have 1 difference maker. Not 1.

Gard is in serious trouble after the offseason and last year's disappointment.

yeah, that team meeting where someone leaked what was discussed did a ton of damage

Illinois and Wisconsin both losing on the same night, and a home game for Wisky??

I hope that this can be punished somehow. I have said it before, Davison is going to hurt someone someday with the way he plays dirty. And the league/officials will be complicit for not taking action.

i was watching the game and i did not see this hold; i just thought the player traveled and that was that!

damn, Davison has his tactics down and it takes replay to see what he is doing

@BlackNGoldBleeder , you had an entire thread on his tactics, IIRC

and don't forget; Gard stood up for him last season, saying he was a great kid, blah, blah....

Gard might be skating on very thin ice this year....

He's a douche who looks for ways to play dirty without being caught, but he's not stupid.

Yes, I did. Davison is a punk. No reasonably intelligent human being buys his Eric Burdon act of being a poor soul whose intentions are good. He and Gard can GTFO with that bullshit.

Yeah....watched the game too and saw this with Davison as well. Unbelievable the way the guy plays dirty. I can't stand him. Just pathetic to think we play against this punk one more time and in Madtown too. Thank goodness their team stinks....

In the video it appears the player was indicating he got held

Are these types of plays reviewable?

I hate to accuse a D1 coach of such things, but with his unconditional support of Davison, it seems that at least some of these dirty tactics are taught in WI practices.

And the commentator on BTN said that Brad was his man!

i thought this was reviewable, especially since the player indicated he was held/hooked
I don't think this play qualifies under the hook and hold. The rule was put in place to penalize those who use the hook and hold to deceive the refs into calling a foul on the victim of the hook and hold. This wasn't a fouling situation against the victim of it so...

I had always heard that the hook and hold was made a flagrant due to how dangerous it was for the player, or “victim“, being hooked and held.

I have been a big ten homer for a long time, but Illannoy and Wisky losing sure doesn't bother me. Surprised to hear about Curbello's play. He had some outstanding games last year as a freshman.

I’ll almost never ever cheer on the Illini (to a lesser extent Wisconsin too).

Illinois and Iowa State basketball losses are like early Bday presents for us old men. HBD, brothers.

My buddy had a 20 team parlay on all heavy favorites tonight but also had Michigan on the ML. Would’ve won $500 but Michigan was the lone loss.
