Geez, What Is Tony's Vertical?

It's higher then Pmac's that's for sure....LOL and that's not a good thing.
Okay, I can be as critical of Pat as anyone, but WHY exactly is that NOT a good thing and what does it have to do with the price of tea in China? A players vertical is measured by their standing jump straight up without a running start. Its NOT measured by how high a 6'9" guys (Pmac) hand reaches, as compared to a 6'4" guy (Perkins). It has nothing to do with the relative height OR reach. Its simply a measure of how high they get off the floor, and I'd be shocked of Perkins Vertical wasn't better then Pmac. I'm assuming you know that already, so what gives?

Perkins skied above flat footed PMAC on that play to make the block. I think that is what the post is alluding to.

Patrick had just the same chance to block the shot as Tony did but Perk got the job done, I guess after 4 plus years of Patrick, I'm just worn out watching him imitate a fawn on the court. He plays soft, doesn't rebound particularly well, every time he goes to pass, he has to jump for what reason, I don't understand. He's 6-9 for god sake. He dribbles into traffic with no understanding where he is. Is it just me or do others feel the same? If it's me, I'll let it go and assume this is his last year hopefully. Fran is going to play him moderate minutes per game whether we like it or not.
Get as much out of him as is possible and hope he contributes without anyone losing their minds, including Patrick.

At NO point did I challenge any of what you just said. Earlier you said his vertical was higher, "and thats not a good thing". all I said was that has nothing to do with WHY Pmac doesn't rebound better, or plays soft. He jumps just fine. he had two fast break dunks last night and he was well above the rim on both. Its not that he can't do it, its just that he doesn't do it.
