This happened several days ago but I don't think it has been mentioned here and is also Iowa related. Illinois hired Dayton's Shauna Green as their new women's basketball coach. She is from Clinton, Iowa and was the head coach of Loras College for two years early in her career.

Well, as long as we’ve got this going, Mississippi State’s new mens b-ball coach is an Iowa native. I was channel flipping the other night and came upon his news conference. I was pretty impressed! Chris Jans is his name and I think he was at New Mexico State. Also a Loras background.
