Personally, I believe that it is our responsibility as humans to help our fellow humans who are in need of it. But I'm not a Christian, so maybe I'm wrong about that.

In spite of this, something doesn't smell right. The refugees are overwhelmingly male. Where are the women and children? Are they just being left behind to suffer? Have they all been killed, but only the males were able to escape a similar fate? It seems that the majority of refugees would be families trying to stay alive and together. So what's the story behind the demographics of the refugees?
