Given the current election state should we give Obama a 3rd term?

Give? No. But it's an interesting question whether he could win again if we fixed the constitution to let him run.

He's been a huge disappointment. But he's still better than Hillary or anyone on the GOP side.

The question is whether he's enough better than Hillary to get my vote. Probably not.

I'm pleasantly surprised by your answer. All the republicans would be better for the economy. Trump might even be the best as far as that. I don't want Trump except over Obama or Hillary.

With both parties having a major cluster f in front of them is it time to change the rules (again) and give Obama another 4 years? There are pros and cons to the idea.
If these are the best we have to chose from, the good ol USA is a cluster F***. The entire system needs to be gutted and start over. First item of business is doing away with the lifetime benefits that these worthless POS have.

I don't understand the Republican definition of a "better economy". To me, having unemployment under 5% is a good thing. Sure, the economy has it's issues with wages right now and there needs to be something to discourage offshoring of jobs but if you think a Republican is going to fix those then I have some great farmland in Saskatchewan for sale.

Is the 10% unemployment and crashing stock market Bush left office with really what the GOP thinks is a "good" economy?

The highest unemployment rates under each of the last few presidents were:
Bush I --7.8%, Clinton -- 7.1%, Bush II -- 7.8% , Obama -- 10%.

This. I'd take BO over anyone on either side. People were howling about Clinton in 2000 and look what we got.

94 MILLION out of the work force. The unemployment number is a trojan horse.

Maybe since he ran as a black man his first two terms, he could run as a white man this time around. The SCOTUS would have to check the fine print but we all know this SCOTUS can look at a law that is black and white and declare it red and yellow. ( see Obamacare )

Good thing I heard a piece on the economy the other day, so I know this number is BS. Even the most pessimistic economists have that number under 10%. The one thing they agreed on was the unemployment rate has held steady because so many are flooding back to the job market.

Oh, and yes to the OP. Obama would crush any of these candidates and rightly so. I wish he'd have even more time to work at wages rising like employment numbers have.

Just because the Congress doesn't do what you want it to do doesn't mean it's "do nothing".
Congress does NOTHING. Not doing what I don't want it to do is inconsequential......This Congress has decided to do NOTHING at all. The GOP made this decision the day after Obama was inaugurated...the Dems now don't have the numbers to force the issue. This is another "Do Nothing Congress"...the Congress that ended up re-electing Harry Truman to the White House back in '48.

And yet, no GOP supporter has come on here to explain what a good economy would look like in their opinion. Just a few people who try to explain how the current economy isn't actually good. Just like all the polls were "skewed".

Please, educate me. What does a good economy look like for a Republican?

It takes some serious congnitive dissonance to not understand that the 10% number is the result of the previous administration's shitbag they handed off to Obama. Actually, that number just goes to show how well of a job Obama has done. Remember how Romney campaigned on having unemployment down to 6% by the end of his first term?

No. Just give Trump three terms or Bush three terms. Time to flip on the issue like a typical moron Democrat.

The answer is whatever the economy happens to look like when a Rep is in the white house. This current one would do.

Why? Would you like him to double the # of countries he has bombed and/or invaded to 16? He has enough blood on his hands.

Don't know how much clearer it can be, but here are the stats from THE BUREAU OF LABOR. You know, the federal department that Obama is in charge of.

I don't mind TARP so much, I do mind the engineers of the catastrophe not only getting off scott free, but then making billions off of the bailout.

I shared the same thoughts until I read Timothy Geithner's book last year
