One of the final questions in Chicago, was about how good can this year's team be in 2015?

I don't see this team as the 1999, 2000 or 2012 variety. There is a good mix of experience and youth.

The pictures in the other thread certainly get the blood going for the kickoff of the 2015 season.

No one is going to confuse this team to the 1985, 2002 or 2009 teams.

However, the 1990 team was lead by a junior QB after a 5-6 season and some ugly games at Kinnick.

The 1981 team was loaded on offense. The 2004 team lacked balance on offense.

Iowa may find enough balance with offense, defense and special teams in Year 4 with OC and DC. In 2002, the fourth season was a breakout season the first time around for Coach Ferentz.

The 2015 schedule reminds us of 2007. The QB position is hopefully in better hands with CJ Beathard compared to Jake Christiansen.

We shall see, but this team should be hungry in 2015. The schedule is certainly favorable and the leadership has potential on the field.

Drew Ott is certainly a character. Time to right the ship, Hawkeyes.
