GOAT NFL Players By Position

Who do you guys have as the GOATs?

Tom Brady
Jerry Rice
Randy Moss
Larry Czonka
Ray Lewis

All easy ones for me

Give me a 2WR 1TE set with a fullback and running back, and a 4-3 defense, and specialists
Is this on accomplishment/durability or who I’d most like to put in pads for a season at the zenith of his ability? If the latter I’d go with Bo Jackson or Barry sanders at running back, Moss and Antonio brown at wr, gonzales at TE, and Brady/Rogers at qb. Defense would include Ray Lewis, Reggie white, Lawrence Taylor, Bruce smith, on defense for sure. Need to think about the others.

Edited and with my reasoning above:

QB: Rogers
RB: Bo Jackson
RB: Barry Sanders
WR: Moss
WR: Antonio Brown
TE: Gonzales
T: Olando Pace
G: Larry Allen
C: Dermontti Dawson
G: Will Shields
T: Jonathan Ogden

DE Reggie White
DT John Randle
DT Warren Sapp
DE Bruce Smith
LB: LT
LB Ray Lewis
LB: Junior Seau
S: Sean Taylor
S Ronnie Lott
CB: Neon Deion
CB Rod Woodson

Butkus and Jim Brown belong on any list. Probably Payton too.

Here's a photo of Brown. This is what a strong person (minus weights and steroids) looks like -

Their numbers are extremely similiar. I'll take the guy who doesn't drop passes and gets along with his teammates
Marvin paid someone to murder a person.

And 25 more touchdowns and 1500 yards is pretty significant

TO was a pain in the ass, but no doubt a better receiver than Harrison

Actually two former Hawkeyes are regarded among the best safeties ever - Emlen Tunnell and Paul Krause. Gil Brandt rated Tunnell #1.

Might consider Walter Jones at OT?

Love Pete Warrick but Hester or Deion deserve that spot.

Somewhat surprised that none of my fellow Noles showed any love to the great Walter Jones; he's certainly on the short list of greatest OTs to ever play the game. Holmgren said he's the best offensive player he ever coached.

180 games, all starts. In over 5500 passing attempts, gave up 23 sacks (the last two while playing with an injured knee that ended his career); called for holding a whopping nine times.

Edit to add - and the damn ostrich uncovers his head while I'm typing my post....

Yeah, no way would I have Warrick on there for NFL play. Shoot, he's at best the #3 KR just from FSU, behind Deion & Vanover.

KR almost has to be either Mitchell or Hester.

Haha.. was hoping the whole murder thing would slip by this argument

You are arguing for TDs and yards even though he played an extra two years but failing to mention receptions and a consistency in his prime that rivals Jerry Rice. No doubt? That is laughable
