Due to recent legislation in Iowa, absences to attend religious instruction are deemed excused. Absences to take a family trip, visit a college, or attend a funeral are unexcused. Clearly, we have the best and the brightest in charge.
I mean, it's hard to argue with a curriculum focused on critical thinking.

There is nothing more Christian/American than an adult who didn't know Japan doesn't have many Christians; and then being "heartbroken" by the discovery.
