Popeye's is pretty damn good when you get your drive through order and not the order for the guy behind or ahead of you. I usually try to get 2 piece spicy dark pieces with red beans and rice for the side.

Popeyes is way, way overrated. This new Raising Canes place is pretty good, not wait an hour good….but pretty good.

I heard there were crazy lines for the Steak n Shake that opened in West Des Moines awhile back. You would think one of the worlds finest chefs opened a restaurant when a mediocre fast food chain comes to Iowa.

And for the size, Des Moines has a wonderful restaurant scene.
