Watched the debate and did not see anyone making a move. I doubt any supporters of a candidate or any undecided voters were swayed last night. No one hurt themselves and no one dominated.

I fully expected Trump would finally have his prime time meltdown last night and I was wrong. He ended up giving a pretty solid effort. Probably his best performance to date. His answers to the angry man and New York values questions could not have been much better. I have long expected Trump's support would diminish after a few up close viewings in debate settings, but it may be time to resign myself to the inevitability of a Trump win.

Of the others, I thought last night was Bush's best debate, but too little too late. Still not charismatic.

Rubio and Christie appear to be fighting to be the establishment alternative to Trump.

Cruz came in with some momentum, but Trump cut him up during the New York vaules and the birther exchange.

Kasich may be the most accomplished politician on the stage, yet can get no traction. I like the guy, but this is just not the year for him. Gives the base no red meat to chew on, so impossible to win the nomination.

Carson gave some good answers last night, but it is time for him to throw in the towel. He is losing staff left and right because he cannot pay them. Time to go out on a book signing tour and make some money.

My only hope for this election cycle is the Republicans have a multi-ballot convention and down and dirty politics plays out for all to see on national television. Add in a Hillary indictment which implodes the Democratic party and it would be double fun. If this happens, come November we may see Romney versus Biden.

"If this happens, come November we may see Romney versus Biden."

That's funny to think about, if you think about it long enough it's more than plausible.
