Agreed. That said, I’m guessing he’ll call a total of zero stalls once the calendar hits March.Ref- A+
You must be confused. He was wearing the same sleeve he has all year. Wasn’t wearing a brace.I don’t recall Spencer having the long knee brace on Friday. I could be wrong and probably nothing.
Sorry meant sleeve. I didn’t notice it when I was there. In my defense he was out there long😜You must be confused. He was wearing the same sleeve he has all year. Wasn’t wearing a brace.
It was a great college comeback. Reminded me of the professional version of what you see at a lot of kids matches.Like what sdvike said and agree with everything he wrote.
In other thread some posted about other great comebacks. Who ever saw someone down 8-1 on their back in the first. Get out, and go on a rampage to get a fall before then end of the 1st!

Coming weeks will b a better measure w air clearing
I am actually encouraged by his neutral game or on his feet. I've seen progression each week. Keep in mind that for two years he has had a torn ACL and then he was trying to wrestle with two ruptured ACL's . This took away lateral motion and also explosiveness. He has progressed each week and he is almost exactly one year removed from double knee surgery. His lateral motion or side to side is back. I have seen him hit his HI-C, Firemans and against Ramos his single leg. This is huge. You can't take away his front head lock offense, his HI-C and Firemans and also the single leg. The fact that he has hit his primary shots now is huge. Now, he has to put it all together with motion. A year removed... he is so much better than I expected. 2-3 weeks from now, I believe we will see the Spencer Lee neutral game we saw his freshman year with a stronger top game. By March, I would want to be on the other side of the bracketLee has looked better at this point in the season than I expected. And he is wrestling more than I expected. I would say he is nowhere near the wrestler on his feet that he used to be, but somehow he looks better on top - which is inexplicable because I thought there was no room for improvement. I guess the upper body strength training has paid off.
Hopefully, by wrestling consistently, he will learn to adjust to his lost mobility on his feet.
I like that Lee head butted the changing room/medical room thing. A+ for that.
Yep, just takes time. Basically he didn’t wrestle for almost two yearsI am actually encouraged by his neutral game or on his feet. I've seen progression each week. I'm hoping there's something that's causing whatever is ailing him because he just doesn't look interested in wrestling. Like someone else said, in the past he was all about attacking. Now it's just the opposite...no interest at all in attacking.Biggest disappointment for me was Brands.
Faced an average wrestler that bumped up a weight.
Brands wrestled him like he was a top ranked guy.
This is his 5th year in the program. He is simply an ok but not great wrestler. His attack rate has never been high in college. Beating Assad like a drum in a preseason freestyle exhibition is his claim to fame thus far.Biggest disappointment for me was Brands.

Pretty much how I’ve been reading him. He’s settled into this style and no way should he counted on to produce many points. This is his 5th year in the program. Nelson is the Cash Wilcke of 2023.Pretty much how I’ve been reading him. He’s settled into this style and no way should he counted on to produce many points.
I think Wilcke had a higher ceiling but lacked it between the ears.Nelson is the Cash Wilcke of 2023.
