hate losing a game like that, but it will go down as a classic Unfortunately for Iowa, the Hawkeyes will get more respect for losing this game like they did than they wouldve had they one. If Iowa won, the "experts' would've just moved the goal line for Iowa to be deserving.

I'm thinking the experts would have at least acknowledged that whole 'Iowa in the CFP after beating the #5 team' thing hard to deny the reality of playing Alabama to get into the big show. You're trying too hard.
nah, they still would've had to prove it against "the big boys". would've at least had to win the first round.
When iowa was leading, before that final drive, a narrative was being set up that Connor Cook wasn't playing that well. It would've been an off game for Cook, while disregarding that the defense had something to do with it. There would've been spin had the Hawkeyes won.

I love games like this. I definitely like winning them more than losing, but this game was great. Hats off to MSU on that last drive. When they got the ball with 9 mins left, I was thinking Iowa would probably get it 2x before the game ended. This game ended the way it should have - our D, your rush O, line it up and go get it.
