Great Spencer Lee article

Is DeSanto on a vision Quest. Why in the world wouldn't he want to get his own state title if he is #1 at 132?

He is already headed to Drexel, might lose anyways at 132 according to some PA guys, and would be in a no lose situation with Lee. If he wins, its one of the biggest upsets in PA history I have to imagine and if he loses....well the kid had balls to do what he did. Least those are some of the theories.

From every article/video/interview ... this kid simply has got "it"

"It" being ... an outstanding wrestler ... intelligent, well spoken, focused, determined, humble, confident, and flat out just a good human being ...

Spencer will be successful in life long after the singlet is retired ... Glad he will be in a Black singlet ... :p

Huge fan. Love the way he uses "we" when he talks about the Iowa program. Also love how he understands the kind of men who are leading the Hawks. He sees how genuinely our coaches care about their guys, on and off the mat. Presumably, he's seen through some smoke screens at some other programs, as well.

Spencer has indicated that he'd like to become an AD after his wrestling days are done. I could quite easily visualize him winning multiple NCAA titles, World and Olympic gold, maybe doing some coaching, joining the U of I Athletic Department, and working his way up to AD. It's always great to have an athletic legend leading the department, and he has a great shot to reach that status. Not to put the cart before the horse or put any pressure on Spencer at all -- but I think the above scenario is quite possible, and if he does have the kind of success nationally and internationally that he expects, he will have laid the groundwork for a great career in athletic administration.

In response to WHEN....our Pennsylvania State Wrestling championships start Thursday March 9th and finish Saturday the 11th. His AAA Finals session will be Saturday late afternoon...not sure of the time.. Thats the best day to attend PA wrestling as they do AA session early and then the AAA later that day.
