Lots of outdoor work on Saturday.
Lots of outdoor drinking on Sunday. Stayed 3-4 feet apart for the majority of the time. Good enough.

With consistent nice weather coming up, good luck trying to force people to stay home.

Took the boat for a spin yesterday to get it ready to hopefully take out tomorrow when its 74. Have not done much yard work that I wanted to, but I got my old boat cleaned and sold so that was a big deal

Funny this I only recently noticed. In America our cars have the steering wheel in the left, but it is on the right in boats.

In England, the steering wheel is on the right in cars, and on the left in boats.

Power washed siding/sidewalks/patio/soffit/gutters/fence for about eight hours between Friday and Saturday. Good project to have done. Enjoyed the weather yesterday and went golfing with a buddy. Starting to do tillage today so we can start planting soon. Somebody's gotta feed the world.

Lots of people out walking around and in parks.
Unfortunately had a friend out 4 wheeling and is now in Lacrosse hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries. Lots of UTV's driving around on roads that I thought were banned, maybe not.

Went to Menards in Mason City Saturday to get a few things. Ended up saying F it and leaving. Place was overrun with people from Minnesota. There was a 15 car wait to get into the yard.

Cleaned mildew off the north-facing sides of my house yesterday. Used elbow grease and ladders - wary of using a pressure washer on siding.

This is one of those jobs that I would have 1) ignored or 2) hired out in the past. Amazing what jobs you can get done when you’re not spending your weekends running around doing stupid shit.

I watched 2 hours worth of the Millenial Farmer on YouTube. I’m ready to get some CarHarts and go to work!!

Our siding is vinyl, so no issues there. But yeah, if you have cement board or wood then I'd definitely be a little cautious.

Found a metal 55 gallon barrel off CL that I cut into a new fire barrel yesterday. Also fired up a chain saw I hadn't used in 6 years. Amazed it started on the 3rd pull, but I may need to venture out for a new chain.

Already trimmed up a bunch of trees this morning. Taking a break, started a small bonfire while sipping on some coffee, watching the river roll by. Cloudy and murky, but plenty warm and at least not raining (yet).

Stretching out my projects this week (again), but I have a couple tree trunks I need to cut down to the ground that will get done later this morning.

Trying to ensure I have something to do every day considering I know I'm off 3+ more weeks.

Our siding is vinyl as well.

I’ve been cautioned on using a pressure washer to clean siding in general. The risk is that you can push water under the siding and potentially promote the growth of mold and mildew where you can’t see it or deal with it.

Oh yeah, moisture is always gonna find it's way underneath vinyl. As long as you're spraying over the overlap and not actively spraying into it you'll be fine.

Yesterday I cleaned out the garage. It was shameful and disgusting. Even got the leaf blower out and got all of the dust remnants out. Although working today, I will take an afternoon break and power wash the deck.

How many of the mega farms are going to have a hard time planting this year? Mexican help that comes up in the spring to plant and stay through harvest, mostly low wages with a share of revenue? They are not coming this year, cannot get through the border.

I have no idea. Nobody I know uses seasonal help, even the guys with several thousand acres mostly have full-time white guys and Mexicans working for them. Maybe some of the bigger guys in Sioux County do what your describing, but I don't know for sure.

Went to Menard's the weekend before last just to quickly return a few items, it was a complete madhouse. I waited patiently with a handful of other folks also returning stuff (while practicing good social distancing) and quickly got the hell out of there once I was done. What a damn germ jar! I won't go back until life is somewhat normal again, it's just not worth the risk of running into a C19+ carrier.
