Green Thumb Industries launching medical pot sales in Circle K gas stations in Florida

Green Thumb Industries Inc. GTBIF GTII said Wednesday it will launch retail sales of cannabis for medical patients at "about" 10 Circle K stores in Florida. The Chicago and Vancouver-based cannabis company said its Rise Dispensaries inked a lease agreement with Circle K to test the rollout of more potential stores out of the gas station chain's 600 stores in Florida. At last check, more than 700,000 Florida residents currently hold medical cards in the Sunshine State, according to data from the state's Department of Health. Green Thumb CEO Ben Kovler said the effort marks a "huge step forward in making it easier and more efficient" for patients to buy cannabis products "as part of their everyday routine." Shares of Green Thumb Industries are down 51% in 2022, compared to a 31% drop by the NasdaqNDAQ and a loss of 59.8% by the AdvisorShares Pure U.S. Cannabis ETF MSOS
