Yeah we got a big game next week in State College. But forget about Penn State. F*** Penn State.
If Purdue beats Michigan State next week, we have a chance to play for the Mythical College Football AP National Championship Belt............
Purdue took the belt off Ohio State when they beat them tonight, so now we have a chance to become 3-time champions.
FTR since most of you are probably wondering, "EvilMonkey.........the f*** are you talking about?", the AP National Championship belt essentially works like a title belt in say boxing or pro wrestling, in that you need to beat the champion to own the belt. The AP started in 1936 so there have been dozens of owners through its history, including Iowa twice (albeit briefly) in 1981 and 1996. The belt holder may not always be the actual national champion. So far, this year, there have been 4 holders: Pittsburgh, Penn State, Ohio State and now Purdue.
Fellas........
