Anyone know why he wasn't at the Midlands? I still think he should go 33 next year. Mitch McKee, Seth Gross, and Mickey Philippi are all at 33 this year, should be possible for him also.

Could add Stickley in there also. He did already beat Wagner this year.I would be interested in Laux at 125, Happel at 133, and Turk at 141. Factor in competition from Wagner and Rathbun and that's a respectable, although not eye watering, lineup.
I knew I was missing someone. Anyone know when he plans on enrolling?Could add Stickley in there also. He did already beat Wagner this year.
I'd put Laux at 25. If Marinelli goes this year I think he will RS next year. So Gunther at 65 or you could flip he and Young at 65/74. Also Bowman wrestled 74 last year. Could see him go back down. It's settled, Happel to 133 next year. Actually not a bad lineup next year. I think they could finish top 5.
25 Wags/Rath
33 Happel
41 Turk
49 BS
57 Kem
65 Bull
74 Young
84 Wilke
97 Holliway
Hwt Stollhouse
i would figure next year. Not sure if he will RS.I knew I was missing someone. Anyone know when he plans on enrolling?

Your eyes might "water", but not in the way you would like them to.........................I would be interested in Laux at 125, Happel at 133, and Turk at 141. Factor in competition from Wagner and Rathbun and that's a respectable, although not eye watering, lineup.
He won State at 145 but was at 138 for Fargo I believe.Wasn't Happel 145 in HS? 2 years later he's 133? I have no info but I would definitely write that in pencil.
Mike Evans was 189 and 2 years later 165.Wasn't Happel 145 in HS? 2 years later he's 133? I have no info but I would definitely write that in pencil.

Only way he sees the lineup next year.Fully aware of Mike Evans and I see no correlation between him and Happel. Just the idea of Happel at 133 seems to be a message board dream much more than anything discussed in public by anyone involved. Maybe let the wrestler say it's an option for him before we plug him in hypothetical line ups is what I am saying.
Again, doesn't mean he can make it. I will be pleasantly surprised if he can. Lot of guys could say the only way to make the line up is to drop. Until Carter says he is considering it I will assume he is at 141.Only way he sees the lineup next year.

We generally know best. This message board dictates what weight Happel will wrestle at. Last year we decided Grothus should go 141 and he did..............

I heard from two people last year 133 was an option for college. One through the grapevine came from one of his HS teammates. Maybe it was just talk, but I guess no one will know until next year.Fully aware of Mike Evans and I see no correlation between him and Happel. Of course we do! Is anyone actually questioning that fact?!We generally know best.
hap probably stay 141 , I have douts turk will be 141 next year so probably need happel there.
Nah, he just screwed up our timing by having shoulder issues on his way down to 141.We just made the decision a little late.......IIRC.![]()
Not over looked, but will he be taking a RS next year?Stickley seems to me he gets over looked in numerous threads lately. Me thinks it's a mistake.IMO.
He's a bit of a forgotten man because of the unusual route he's taking I think. Doesn't appear anyone has locked up anything in those lower weights, so certainly he's in the mix as much as anyone at 125/133.Stickley seems to me he gets over looked in numerous threads lately. Me thinks it's a mistake.IMO.
My name's a dead giveaway ;-)Guess we have more in common than I thought.![]()
Give me Turk.

C'mon Man! Yeah, because 3x AA Carton was going to be so difficult to unseat............. unseat from a spot he didn't have. This boards obsession with the wrestling god if Vince Turk is odd. Kind of like him starting over carton. This was never going to happen.
It'll be a miracle if Turk ever makes 41 again or ever cracks the starting lineup.
C'mon Man! Yeah, because 3x AA Carton was going to be so difficult to unseat............. unseat from a spot he didn't have.
Turk was 18-4 last year, Carton 10-5 (and 2 of those wins were forfeits). Seth Gross beat Carton and Ryan from Iowa, and lost to Turk. Carton beat Turk 8-7 at Midlands, where Turk went 3-2. Ashnault decisioned Carton and Teched Turk. I don't think either necessarily "shined" over the other, and Turk is a couple years behind Carton in his "development".
I have no idea how good Vince Turk ultimately is, but I do know he wasn't having to take out Mark Ironside to gain a varsity spot. There's the rub as far as I'm concerned, and I assure you I haven't once touted Vince Turk as anything other than an option at 141.
