Happy birthday x 7! McCaughey septuplets turn 21

It was on Nov. 19, 1997, that Carlisle's Bobbi and Kenny McCaughey gave the world something it had never seen before: septuplets.

So it was international news when Kenny Jr., Alexis, Natalie, Kelsey, Nathan, Brandon and Joel — officially the world's first surviving set of septuplets — were born in Des Moines.

Now they're 21, believe it or not.
