CSB - after doing that lab, I took my students to the Carolina Raptor Center where they rehab injured birds of prey and a barred owl coughed up a nice pellet. I asked them for it and they gave it to me. When we got back to school, we baked it to sterilize it and dissected it. Found some neat bones.
