Has Darian Cooper been ruled out for the season?

Brandon, I have not seen anything where he has been ruled out. However, all talk seems to be a wait and see approach with hope for him seeing the field a game or two late in the year. In other words he will never be the player everyone had high hopes for him to be.

ok I thought the op said has anyone heard has darian cooper been ruled out this season and I said no.

Any updates on his health?

Tom wrote that he wants to play this year, but had a long ways to go yet.... I say he shoots for the 6th year. It isn't guaranteed, but if past history is an indicator, he will get the 6th year. We should have a decent DL this year. Ott , Jaleel, Nathan, Faith, etc we should be good.

Mentioned in another thread that Cooper had micro fracture surgery on both knees. He had one done and then the other three months later. He's doing some running and conditioning, but has not been cleared to return to practice. He's still hopeful that he can get back this season and working towards that goal. Having said that, there's no timeline for his return, which probably means it's a bit of a reach to expect it. Great young guy. Hope he can make it back on the field.

The last article I read quoting KF, he sounded a lot less optimistic than he did earlier in the summer/spring, but as usual said nothing definite

He missed all of 2014 due to injury. If he misses all of 2015, I'd have to think he has a great shot at a 6th year. But, does he want a sixth year? He'd be on his third straight year of attempting to rehab an injury, which gets old.

I admirer the young man's determination, however the odds say he'll never play football again. Give KF and staff credit for not trying to run him off.
