??? I don't follow. I would think death threats would outweigh anything else a person might post, even racist or sexist rants. I don't know who runs those sites or moderates them. I don't use Twitter so I don't know what their policies are. I can't be limited to 140 or 280 characters all the time. It's software for the stupid as far as I can tell.

Exactly. How are people supposed to tell which threat is real and which one is an idiot blowing off steam? I think of it this way: If you were to make a phone call at random to a person, would you threaten that person's life? If not, why would you write something like that in a social media post? Banning people makes the most sense, but then again if Twitter banned every idiot they'd only retain about 10 percent of current users!
