Considering renting my house for the Ryder Cup. Any sites that you used that you'd suggest going with or think I should stay away from? Live fairly close by Hazeltine. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA!

A couple is reeling after their house in Calgary, a city in Alberta, Canada, was trashed over the weekend by guests arranged through Airbnb, a website that allows people to rent out their homes to vacationers.

A video on the YouTube page for lifestyle blogger Misty Hamel shows police in the home of Star and Mark King, who came home to find condoms clogging their toilets and couch cushions in a pile on the kitchen floor. Photos also show cigarette butts on plates in the kitchen sink.

The party animals arrived last Saturday, and over the next few days, police responded to various noise complaints from neighbors, including one who claimed to see the house guests roll up in a party bus at one point during their stay, CTV News reports.

Surveying the damage, Staff Sgt. Jim Leung told the CBC that it the worst instance of a home being trashed that he had seen in his 27-year career with the police.

I'm putting a pretty descent price tag on it. I'm going to assume if they're able to pay for what I'm asking, that they're going to have a little bit of a brain (maybe one shouldn't assume though). I'm sure this story was somebody that paid $100/night. This will be a little different clientele (I hope). I'll have this lined up with my attorney as well. I'll make sure those bases are covered.

4 and 5 star hotels are going for $200/night and $300/night during that timefraem. If you think $100 is "way too low" how much are you planning on listing your house for? Seems like most of the upper hotels aren't that far off that amount. I assume most of the elites are going to stay near Hazeltine. How far are you away from the golf course? There is a lot more that goes into it rather than just "nice house".

Can you post a pic of your house so someone that isn't bias could give you an honest assessment?

Doing the comparisons looking at some of the sites, I think I should be able to ask much more than that. My house is brand new (literally). It was just completed 2 months ago. We're 3 miles from the course. The comparisons I've done seem that I could at least ask for 10k-15k for the week. The closest 4 and 5 star places are going to be downtown MPLS. Which is probably a 30-45 min drive from the course. I don't think I'll be competing against them. Here's the site that I'm comparing my own house to. http://www.superiorexecutiveservices.com/ryder-home-rentals/?gclid=CKr4456718oCFdcZgQodJCYBGw

Never heard of that site. AirBNB has similar priced houses for the week. $1200/night for something close and nice. I guess it all depends on location (which sounds close for your house), size of house, and relative demand for your house. Doesn't look to be out of the realm of possibility to get $10,000 for the week but again there are a lot of "what ifs" that we're working with right now.
