But in the interim ruling, the fact that they said there’s a responsibility to prevent it, the fact that this word is even in play, the fact that this word is even in our discourse, I think demonstrates the mass inhumanity that Gazans are facing,” Ocasio-Cortez said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
She also said recent polls show Americans are concerned with genocide in Gaza. A recent YouGov/The Economist poll found that half of Biden’s voters in 2020 believe the Israeli government is committing a genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
“And so whether you are an individual that believes this is a genocide, which by the way, in our polling, we are seeing large amounts of Americans concerned specifically with that word. So I don’t think that it is something to completely toss someone out of our public discourse for using,” she said.
“But I think what we are seeing here is that the Netanyahu government has lost public support and that we have a responsibility to protect the human rights and humanity of Gazans and hostages alike in the area,” she added.

I would disagree. Nancy is easily top 1% hottie for her age group. And was a smokeshow when younger.

Yes, mainstream Dems can be nearly as awful as Rs when they put their "minds" to it.
I think of this as a recent phenomenon, by the way. I attribute a lot of it to the decision by MSNBC and CNN to emulate the way things are done at FOX. There used to be a fairly clear distinction; now they all lie and spew their preferred party's propaganda. FOX and its further-right emulators are still the worst but MSNBC and CNN have closed the gap quite a lot. Even PBS has degraded, while the NYT and WaPo are now corporate-centrist and scarcely "liberal" at all. Sure, they don't lie about things like climate change, but that's just science, not ideology. And they occasionally care about civil rights and women's rights. But that's simple decency, not ideology. Ideologically, they reliably favor the corporate state and the MIC.
I miss the days when we got our news from the likes of Cronkite, MacNeil-Lehrer, Huntley-Brinkley, Brokaw, Rather and the like. Watch a couple of those guys and you got fairly decent and straightforward coverage of the important stories of the day. Yeah, they were very mainstream, too, but not corporate or racist shills.
Yeah, I'm old, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.
Have they always been that big or is she putting on pounds. I didn't used to notice, but the last time I saw her I found them distracting - and not in a good way. Not sexy, just top heavy.
